Identification Calls

Identifying voters’ preferences is the basis of a voter mobilization campaign. Information regarding how voters feel about particular candidates and issues drives the efficient allocation of campaign resources and greatly enhances the effectiveness of all voter contact efforts. In addition to candidate preference, ID calls can establish which issue, among several, is the greatest motivator and persuader of an individual. The call can also determine the strength and intensity of the voter’s opinion on a particular issue. The information gathered in the ID allows future persuasion efforts to individually target and move voters based on their specific concerns.

Persuasion and Persuasion-ID Calls

Persuasion calls are most effectively targeted at voters previously identified as undecided about your candidate or issue. The message we deliver can be custom-tailored to meet each voter’s particular concerns. We would also design the message to reinforce other campaign communications like direct mail, media, and canvassing. The effectiveness of persuasion calls is greatly increased by re-identifying the voter at the end of the call. Questioning the voter encourages interaction, which our research shows is the key to effective mobilization. Re-identifying a voter’s preferences also allows the campaign to further focus its future persuasion and GOTV efforts.

Get-Out-The-Vote Calls

Field organizers and political scientists alike will tell you that the best way to turn people out to vote is to have interactive, one-on-one conversations with them. Our live GOTV calls are always interactive and tailored to the voter’s particular concerns. In this way, they consistently engage voters in the kinds of conversations that turn them out to vote. GOTV calls also can be used to spur supporters to recruit their friends and families for a trip to the polls.

Volunteer Mobilization Calls and E-Mail Collection

Volunteers are the backbone of an effective campaign. Turning supporters into activists takes hard work, and lots of phone calls. These calls will engage supporters and ask them to take action – anything from putting a sign in their yard to coming out to a rally. Another key function of this call is to gather more information about supporters, such as their e-mail addresses.

Mail Chaser Calls

In a noisy communications environment, it is important that campaign communications in multiple media be coordinated. Voters who are inundated with campaign mail may not see an individual piece unless they are alerted to it through a well-timed live phone call. Moreover, this type of coordinated effort presents opportunities to reinforce and amplify campaign messages.
