PROTECTING HEALTHCARE CHOICE

Winning Connections partnered with Taxpayers for Health Care Choice to send a deluge of calls to state lawmakers urging them to protect public employee healthcare options.

CHALLENGE

In Georgia, a state agency met in secret and decided to eliminate UnitedHealthcare as a provider for public employees and move to a sole-provider system. This move would create an expensive disruption for more than 600,000 state employees and take away valuable healthcare choices.

STRATEGY

We partnered with Taxpayers for Health Care Choice to connect 25,000 constituents to state legislators and officials and urge them to oppose this plan to single-source healthcare plans for public employees.

RESULTS

We sent a deluge of calls to lawmakers, and they heard the voices of their constituents. We stopped this effort and protected healthcare choices for Georgia’s workers.
