ENDING CASH BAIL IN ILLINOIS

FEBRUARY 2021

Working on behalf of our client, Alliance for Safety and Justice, Winning Connections delivered hundreds of patches in support of historic criminal justice reform in Illinois that included the end of cash bail. Additionally, we deployed SMS texting to have supporters email lawmakers and the governor in support of the package.

These targeted efforts helped provide the final push in support of the reforms and with the governor's signature, Illinois is now on the way to becoming a model of a fairer criminal justice system.
